Announcement of the 2nd EBMA conference in the Netherlands, 14-16 November 2017
Based on a successful 1st EBMA Conference in Exeter, UK, the 2nd EBMA Conference will be in Egmond aan Zee, near Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The European Board of Medical Assessors (EBMA) consists of a group of European professionals who have expertise in assessment and/or have leadership roles in universities, or other bodies concerned with medical education and training. They come together to promote best assessment practice in medical education in Europe.
The subject of the 2nd EBMA conference will be: Transformative assessment “Making the strategic use of assessment meaningful for learning”
There is a variety of evidence illustrating the transformative power of assessment in medical education. At the same time, deans, teachers and other stakeholders often find themselves in the gap between what is known from the literature and what they are actually able to apply in their institutions.
In the 2nd Annual EBMA Conference we would like to find ways to implement sus-tainable, long-term, evidence-based changes to local assessment practice so it can be truly transformative, meaningful and learner-friendly. The programme of the 2017 Annual EBMA Conference aims to provide answers to this question by assembling various assessment specialists from several countries who will share their state-of-the-art expertise in assessment with all participants.
By the end of February the full programme will be announced on our website and registration will be possible.
