Partner of MACCH, the Social Historical Centre Limburg (SHCL) provides access to historical sources, maintains a library collection, conducts research, and is continuously looking for new ways of presenting material and immaterial heritage. In May 2019, SHCL organized an encounter between midwives of various generations and students amidst books, archival sources and photographs related to the Vroedvrouwenschool (Midwifery School) in Heerlen. The women exchanged experiences, stories and ideas. Journalist Paul van der Steen wrote an article for the Dutch national newspaper NRC about the event.
