It was a busy year and 2018 was a wonderful year for SHE, we look back with gratitude and fulfilment and we would like to thank the real SHE stars; our students and graduates from 2018, our entire SHE community, our collaborating MHPE partners in Egypt, New York, Canada and Singapore, our research partners and our dedicated staff. Together we are SHE and we shaped the highlights of last year, to name some:

Together we are SHE and we shaped the highlights of last year, to name some:

  • 13 SHE PhD’s finished and defended their PhD thesis in 2018, congratulations.
  • The first SHE Dissertation Award was handed out during AMEE to Chris Harrison.
  • The development of the SHE’s research programme 2018-2023 is a fact and a true drive for all of us.
  • We created an update of our societal impact in narratives for you, to share.
  • We contribute and co-define the world of health professions education that is rapidly changing by our evidence-based research and research informed innovations.
  • Continuing the innovative and attractive educational offer of SHE courses, on all levels, with many participants.
  • SHE Collaborates started great projects again all over the globe.
  • SHE not only connects research, education and valorisation activities but most of all people.

Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success." – Henry Ford

…… And great things are lying a head of us in 2019:

  • The 4th biannual SHE Academy, will take place again March 11-14, 2019 in Maastricht!
  • The development plans for a SHE research master programme.
  • We continue to thrive towards being the top centre of health professions education in the health sciences in the world.
  • We continue involving all our alumni in our SHE (Research) Community and learn from their expertise.
  • Being a platform, serving start-up activities for impacting educational practice.
  • From January 2019 on this SHE Communicates will become an even more accessible platform for the whole SHE Community, wait and see

What can I say,….. our passion is to improve things and SHE likes to shake and stir things up. So please stay connected with us and stay tuned in the new and upcoming New Year because only together, we make SHE and we will shape the highlights of the upcoming year again.

Have a relaxing and happy holiday. Thank you for a wonderful 2018 and we look forward to an exciting 2019
