It was a busy year and 2018 was a wonderful year for SHE, we look back with gratitude and fulfilment and we would like to thank the real SHE stars; our students and graduates from 2018, our entire SHE community, our collaborating MHPE partners in Egypt, New York, Canada and Singapore, our research partners and our dedicated staff. Participants will acquire relevant knowledge and skills to write a PhD research proposal in the domain of assessment and evaluation or learning environments, to formulate research questions and to choose an appropriate research methodology. The course consists of a campus-based module of 8 days, a distance-based module and a third and final campus-based module in Maastricht.

Towards a Master Degree in Health Professions Education

The SHE Master of Health Professions Education ranked in the “Keuzegids Masters 2018” as one of the ‘top study programmes’ and accredited with "The Distinctive Feature for Internationalisation", a quality mark of the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). The MHPE is a two-year, half-time programme taught in English. It is largely based on distance learning, with a maximum of three short periods in Maastricht

The alternative route towards a MSc Degree
|
|
SHE certificate courses, next one starts February 11, 2019
|
|
Online Certificate courses (CCs) offer students the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills related to major topics in health professions education. All three SHE CCs are equivalent to units of our Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE). Students who have acquired a certificate for one or more of these CCs can later enrol in the MHPE.

This popular course offers an introduction and overview of the principal components and characteristics of the Maastricht approach to student centred education and in particular, how to manage learning and assessing in a student centred curriculum, but also get familiar with approaches such as team-based learning and the four components instructional design model (4C/ID-model).

This unique European course for SP educators covers how to use Simulated and Standardized Patients in your curriculum for training, assessment and research with SPs. This course is developed in collaboration with ASPE (Association of Simulated and Standardized Patient Educators).
