More study places on campus and social activities overview

At the moment, students who are unable to study at home for a variety of reasons can use study places in some of our buildings. The duration of the lockdown and many programmes’ high level of study pressure this time of year are a heavy burden on students. This makes offering enough study places all the more necessary. Out of concern for the well-being of our students, we are expanding the number of study places on campus. We have also made an overview of our social activities for you, so that you know what is still available in case you want to be in contact with others.
More study places Starting today, 31 March, and taking into account all safety requirements, SBE (Tongersestraat 53) will open its tutorial rooms for SBE and other UM students who want to study on campus. We do ask you to take into account the fact that the number of places on campus is limited. So, please only use them if studying at home isn’t working well for you any longer, e.g., when following an online tutorial. If you want to use a study place in the SBE building, you can make a reservation here.
If opening the SBE building goes well, we hope to be able to offer study places in the buildings of FHML, FPN and FSE in Randwyck next week.
The 670 study places that the UB already offers at the Inner City Library, Randwyck Library, Paul-Henri Spaak Learning Spaces and Tapijn Loods V locations remain available. Check the rules and how to make a reservation.
Only if we all continue to follow the rules will it be possible to make more study places available. Do not come if you have any symptoms and respect the safety rules in the buildings. We are putting our trust in you!
Activities for students After more than a year of corona, we can all agree: you wouldn’t wish this on your worst enemy. Studying is different, particularly being able to meet up with your fellow students. While doing things together, or just talking about how you are doing, can have a positive effect on your mood. That is why we have created an overview of all the activities there are for students. From studying together in the real or virtual university library, to a singalong evening or activities of the student and sports associations. Take a look and give something a try. And above all: hang in there!
