How do you look back on your years at SHE?
I worked for SHE for with great pleasure and gratitude for 12 years. I saw SHE’s growth and transformation to a renowned institute. In a changing and global world, SHE wanted to grow, involve and inform all its target groups and network contacts through communication. In the beginning, word of mouth was an advantage for SHE when it came to recruiting students. However, a strategically targeted marketing and communication plan made the expertise and impact of SHE even more visible. Show what you stand for, what you are good at and what you collectively contribute to society as a community. The success of SHE lies mainly in the community: they are SHE, follow SHE, talk about SHE and are the ambassadors of SHE.

What memories during your time at SHE will stick with you? And do you have any moments that stand out?

SHE Research programme update
We are working towards finalizing the SHE Research Programme 2024-2030. At the School of Health Professions Education at Maastricht University, we strive to make health professions education better through research. In line with this aim, in 2022 we started developing our research program for 2024-2030. Since then, many members of the (international) SHE community have shared their research interests and ideas for the future. For instance, through an online survey, by participating in round-table discussions, or by giving feedback and input during SHE Academy earlier this year. A big thank you to everyone who has participated so far!
We are now in the process of discussing our draft Research Programme 2024-2030 with a variety of stakeholders locally and from all corners of the globe. Next, we will analyze and synthesize their feedback to further clarify how SHE’s Research Programme 2024-2030 illuminates our scientific focus in relation to key developments in science, healthcare, and education. We aim to finalize the SHE Research Programme 2024-2030 around October and look forward to sharing it with you!
