Developing a measurement scale that captures the full dimensions of health
Integrative health approaches, such as Positive Health, are increasingly appreciated. This citizen centered perspective is characterized by the assumption that health is a multidimensional concept and not merely reflected by the presence or absence of a disease. However, in order to evaluate current interventions and programs using an integrative health approach, a measuring instrument that captures the full dimensions of health is needed.
Recently, ZonMw awarded a grant worth 742.000 euros to Marieke Spreeuwenberg (Creating Value-Based Healthcare) and her team to develop a measurement scale for integrative health approaches.

The study was carried out by Julie Hecker, Mickaël Hiligsmann and Silvia Evers (Creating Value-Based Healthcare) in collaboration with PON (Partnerschip Overweight Netherlands).

AWO-L report on nursing homes: “The pressure is high but we are in control”
The pressure from COVID-19 in nursing homes is high. This is mainly due to absenteeism and perceived work pressure. At the same time, almost all nursing home locations say they are 'in control'. In most cases, nursing homes manage to avoid a site visiting ban. However, other restrictions (such as the number of visitors or an adjustment of visiting times) are often involved in order to protect residents and staff against contamination.
These study results are published in the 5th report by the Living Labs in Ageing & Long-Term Care, run by UM and Radboudumc, who are monitoring 78 nursing home locations in the Netherlands since the extension of the visiting ban in June 2020.
