INKOM 2021 on site and FAQ about vaccinations
|
|
|
Today, we bring you the good news that the INKOM in August 2021 can be held on site and with events. And we let you know that there is an FAQ on the UM website with answers to questions about vaccinations.
INKOM 2021 will be on site!
We have good news! During this year's INKOM, our first-year students can get to know each other, the city and UM in person, on site. This is possible because, from the end of June, the government will again allow large-scale events at occupancy rates of 100% and without a 1.5-metre distance (article in Dutch).
Within the rules This means that, from 16 to 20 August 2021, the INKOM may include in-person events and parties in its programme. Of course, we will do this safely and responsibly and within the rules that apply at that time. As of now, we are assuming that proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test result will be required for participation in large-scale events. If this changes, we will let you know immediately.
Second-year and senior students We will also offer our second-year students, who unfortunately had to experience INKOM primarily online last year, and our senior students the opportunity to participate in the MECC parties and the opening, among other activities.
More information Keep an eye on the INKOM website for the full programme, the line-up of parties at the MECC and the opening, as well as the start of the official ticket sales for both the INKOM programme and the MECC parties.
Faculty introductions Faculty introductions do not fall under the events for which proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test result is required. Because these are considered educational activities, we will work with self-testing and rely on everyone’s sense of responsibility.
Questions about vaccinations
We can imagine that you, as a (Dutch or international) student or employee, have questions about vaccinations. That is why we have set up an FAQ on the UM website where you can find more information. For example, you can read here that international students or employees must be registered in the Personal Records Database (BRP) of a Dutch municipality (or in the Non-Residents Records Database, RNI, if you are staying in the Netherlands for less than 4 months) in order to be vaccinated in the Netherlands. You can also read about how you can come to UM for an introductory meeting at your faculty, for the INKOM, or for classes and other educational activities if you have not (yet) been vaccinated. This list of FAQs will, of course, be continuously updated with the most recent information.
On this page, you will also find links to UM and official government webpages, in Dutch and English, with the most up-to-date information about vaccinations. Over time, we will also add more scientific information for people who want to find out more.
More questions? If you have specific questions about vaccinations that you cannot find the answers to on our website, please contact the municipal health service (GGD) at (+31) 88 880 50 00 or the RIVM at info@rivm.nl
