Online ERC Starting Grant 2023 Information Session
On Thursday 19 May 2022 from 15.30-17.00 CET, interested UM researchers are warmly invited to attend an online information session on the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant funding scheme. The 2023 call is set to open on 7 July 2022 with an 25 October 2022 deadline.
Are you a talented early-career researcher who has already produced excellent supervised work, is ready to work independently and shows potential to be a research leader? The ERC Starting Grant could be for you. The scheme is focused on excellent researchers of any nationality with 2-7 years of experience since completion of their PhD, who have a scientific track record showing great promise and an excellent research proposal.
During this online information session, RVO-NCP (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland/National Contact Point) will give more information about the grant instrument, the ERC Starting target group, application and evaluation procedure. Moreover, participants will hear first-hand experiences from an ERC laureate, and our own Rector Magnificus, Pamela Habibovic will present her expertise as an ERC Starting Grant evaluator. There will be ample opportunity for questions.
The session will be held in English.

Update in-house ERC Starting Grant course by Yellow Research
As we could imagine that people would like to hear more general information on May 19th before deciding to attend the more in-depth ERC Starting course on June 8th (10.00-16.00h). The course registration deadline has been extended to 23/5 at 12 noon – this gives people the opportunity to have a little think after the ERC Starting information session whether they want to register for the course.
