SIG Presents: Educational change & Co-creation

By

Educational change is necessary now, more than ever. Though its goals might be clear, its processes are not. And what about involving students in these processes? The Special Interest Group Educational Change and Co-creation was the first SIG to present itself to the SHE Community. SIG members decided upon the program together and co-hosted an online interactive session for the SHE community.

The focus of the session was on co-creation with students. First, the SIG shared insights from their first joint article about the disentanglement of different approaches to student participation in educational design. Next, a debate took place between all attendees, divided into break-out rooms. Though everyone was at a distance, heated debates took place about the consequences of student participation (leading to better quality of education or not?) and student participation in educational transformation during crises. Without a doubt, the attendees were warmed up afterwards. If you were not able to join but are interested in the recording of the research presentation, please follow this link.

Members of the SHE Community are invited to join the SIG in case of interest. If you want to find out more about our projects (concerning co-creation with patients, students, residents and faculty), please contact Karen Könings
