2 June 2023: Reception for Joop de Jong's Retirement

This spring, Joop de Jong will leave his position at Maastricht University because he has reached retirement age. Joop is one of the founding fathers of Maastricht Center for Arts & Culture, Conservation & Heritage (MACCH). He was also the founder of the Master's in European Public Affairs and of the Master's in Arts & Heritage/Kunst, Cultuur en Erfgoed. He was program director of various programs for a period of around 20 years in total and also served as Vice Dean of Education for three terms.

His retirement certainly does not mean a complete farewell. We’re very happy that Joop will stay on the MACCH steering committee. And those who know him will not be surprised that he continues to be involved in countless other (research) projects, committees and boards.

On June 2 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm there will be a festive reception for Joop at Ipanema in the Bonnefantenmuseum, where we hope to meet many of you. For questions please contact Ward Schoonbrood (w.schoonbrood@maastrichtuniversity.nl).
