SHE Collaborates inspires in education with an extracurricular course offer

SHE Collaborates shared knowledge in the extracurricular course “Project Development in an International Context” for FHML students. At the request of the health students in our faculty and in connection with the quality requirements, FHML has made an offer for extracurricular education.

A question from the students was to receive education in the field of international project development. The SHE Collaborates team has written a course that ran very successfully in the faculty. A perfect example of sharing knowledge from the international education field in which SHE Collaborates operates, with students.

On February 5th the extracurricular course closed with a Pitch session. The project teams had earlier submitted their proposals to a jury including experts from both the Netherlands and abroad. During the final pitch they had one more opportunity to convince the jury to select their project as the winner.

After the jury had given their constructive feedback, they announced the project ‘Increasing women’s health and education equality in Ilula region, Tanzania - Menstrual Health Management in Rural Tanzania’ as the winning project, and awarded the prize to team members Lynn Mulder and Freda Ojo.

Winning the award was however not the primary goal of this course. SHE Collaborates is pleased and proud that all students learned a great deal about teamwork, writing a project proposal and on how to prepare and make a pitch.
