What is your motivation for Medical Education? Please participate in our survey.

Dear fellow SHE student/alumnus,

During the course of your MHPE or PhD, have you ever wondered why you are professionalizing in Medical Education, when your personal and professional life is already packed? Do you ever question your motivation to keep going? And what factors contribute to success, struggle or attrition in these programs? This is exactly the focus of a current project by Fabian Dupont and Aditya Sharma (MHPE Class of 2020) and Karen Könings (Associate Professor at SHE).

We need YOUR help to better understand motivation, success, struggle and attrition at SHE. Please fill out a questionnaire about your experiences in the MHPE or/and PhD. You need to be a current or past MHPE or PhD student at SHE to participate. The questionnaire probably takes 15-20-minutes time. By clicking on the link, you agree that results are used and stored anonymously for a period of 10 years. Participation is entirely voluntary of course!

For the PhD alumni, if you are interested in participating in a 30-60 minute follow up interview to explore reasons for success, struggle or attrition in your program, please contact <aditya.sharma@student.maastrichtuniversity.nl> (link also provided at the end of questionnaire as well). Participation is entirely voluntary.

Your choice to either participate or not will not have consequences for your study progress or progress in your PhD project. Your responses are strictly confidential and will be used for research purposes only. You can stop or withdraw at any point of time. You will be provided a transcript of your interview and the final MHPE thesis if you wish. Data will not be shared with external parties, nor with other teachers and supervisors from SHE.

Please follow this link to get directly to the questionnaire.

Thank you
