PhD/Masters Scholarship: Place, Identity and Education

By
The School of Medicine at Western Sydney University is offering scholarships for Masters and PhD candidates conducting research on the theme of Place, Identity and Learning.

Successful applicants will investigate the intriguing relationships between sense of place and medical education. Moreover, how these lead to professional identity, competence and careers in medicine. The research will leverage the rare opportunity of a new rural medical program that will augment the School's existing medical program in a medically underserved outer metropolitan region. Findings will be directly translatable to practice, helping to address the School's founding commitment to widening access to medical education, and to improving the health of underserved communities. Suitable applicants have the option of enrolling in the Western Sydney - Maastricht University dual award PhD, or the Western Sydney Masters or PhD programs.
