16 June 2021: Digital Heritage @UM: Visible, Usable and Sustainable

A lot is going on at UM when it comes to digital heritage. Would you like to know more about this and would you like to think along about the future of digital heritage and its place in the region? Then join the event “Digital heritage at UM Visible, Usable and Sustainable,” which takes place on Wednesday 16 June 2021, from 15.00 – 16.30.

You can register for this event, which is free of charge and takes place via ZOOM, through this link.

During the event, Nick Bos, vice-president of Maastricht University’s Executive Board, will sign the manifesto of the Digital Heritage Network (Netwerk Digitaal Erfgoed; NDE) on behalf of Maastricht University. With the signing of this manifesto, UM endorses the principles of the manifesto and the National Digital Heritage Strategy to make our heritage more visible and anchor it in the region.

Besides the signing of the manifesto, we have several project pitches in store for you with which we inform you about the latest developments regarding linked open data and participatory heritage projects in research and education at UM. We will close off the event by exploring future collaborations during a panel discussion.

The event is organised in collaboration with national, provincial and university stakeholders (Digital Heritage Network, House for the Arts Limburg, Maastricht University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Maastricht Centre for Arts and Culture, Conservation and Heritage, Social Historical Centre for Limburg, Limburg Museum, and the University Library).

In case of questions, please get in touch with Valerie Ruijpers.

Please note that this event will be in Dutch and will be recorded.
