On Saturday 25th November Brand Brewery in Wijlre opens its doors for guests.

Euphonia in collaboration with Foundation De Ridder – previously De Ridder brewery in Maastricht – brings the Hi Music ensemble, formed by young professional musicians.

Let yourself be taken into the intensity of Spanish, Latinamerican and Italian rythmes performed by Hi Music ensemble. Moreover, previously to the concert enjoy a delicious slice of Limburgse vlaai accompanied by coffee or tea and afterwards enjoy a drink in the Brand tasting room.

Meet the Artists

Magdalena Folwarska is a talented and dedicated musician based in Maastricht,. With over five years of active involvement in the Dutch music and arts community, Magdalena has left a lasting impact on the local scene. 

Beyond her performances as a violinist, Magdalena is deeply passionate about music education. 

Magdalena Folwarska’s dedication to her craft and her commitment to nurturing musical talent continue to inspire the Maastricht music community, making her an esteemed artist, educator, and positive force in the local scene.

She holds a Master of Music with a specialisation in violin performance from the Conservatory Maastricht. As a versatile freelance performer, Magdalena has graced stages across Europe, participating in various ensembles, including the High Music Ensamble, which aims to make classical music more accessible to the public.

Eleonora is a passionate violin player who does not only enjoy playing classical but also finds joy in exploring different genres and engage with wider range of audiences. Eleonora draws inspiration to create music from different moments in her life. During her childhood she had the opportunity to explore the world of painting, participating in open-air sessions and exhibitions, which ultimately influenced her artistic expression. Integrating visual arts into practice, she believes that this experiences have enhanced her ability to create mood, dynamics, rhythmic patterns, nuances, and colors when playing the violin.

Eleonora holds a Bachelor degree from Maastricht Conservatory and a Master’s degree in violin performance from the Tilburg Academy in the Netherlands. Eleonora has had the privilege of performing with various youth and professional orchestras in Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and China. Additionally, she has consistently pursued opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills by attending masterclasses taught by renowned teachers in Lithuania, the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia, Italy, and United States. These experiences have exposed her to different traditions of violin playing, enriching her understanding of the instrument.

Daniel Rivera, viola

Mexican/Nicaraguan musician based in The Netherlands. Coordinator of Hi Music Ensemble. Besides having studies a Masters in the Maastricht Conservatory Daniel also holds a diploma in cultural management from Maastricht University. He combines his interests for new concert formats with his passion for playing with other musicians and taking music to diverse audiences.

Post-Capitalist mexican guitar virtuoso Jesus Serrano stands out for his powerful and refined performance. A winner of multiple prizes, Jesus Serrano has won over 70 prizes in America and Europe including more than two dozen 1st prizes in international competitions.

Composers have written and dedicated music to him to show his extensive palette of technical abilities as well as his unique personality. His eclectic and energetic repertoire is focused on the interaction between speed and sensibility, and his artistic activity has led to him performing extensively throughout America and Europe. Jesus is also often invited to give lectures and workshops at international guitar festivals as well as being part of the jury in International Competitions.

Cellist Cèlia Roca is a passionate cello player. She started playing cello at the age of 7 and since then, she has viewed the instrument not only as a means to achieve her musical goals but as part of her development as a person. Cèlia is also very committed to the social function of music; she has participated in social projects in which she has experience the power that music has on other people, putting a smile on other’s people faces or to captivating to the extend of make them shed a solitary tear.
